Player’s Choice 2011 camps are held at the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth, in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts. Camper/coach ratios range from 3:1-8:1.

Boys Lacrosse Camps

4th quarter. Tie score. 12 seconds left in the game. Driving rain. So cold you can see your breath. You can feel the mud caked on your face. You’ve just got the ball back at midfield. Their best long-stick is between you and the goal, and you can still feel the sting of his last check on your elbow. You watch the ref raise the whistle to his lips.

12 seconds left and you're wet, tired and hurt, and their best player is standing in front of you with fire in his eyes and you've got the ball in your stick and it's no secret that you're taking him to the cage; and you wouldn't have it any other way.

Everything you've ever done has prepared you for this moment. Every shot, pass, check, goal, assist; all the practices and camps and scrimmages and games; all the wall-ball and time spent alone shooting, chasing down missed shots and shooting again. All of it. All of it has led to this moment, on this field, for these 12 seconds. And you're ready because you've done all you can to be ready. It's what you live for, play for, train for. It's your dream and your passion. And the secret you possess as you stare down your opponent, the 6-ft. piece of titanium seemingly alive in his hands, is that the fire that burns in your eyes is brighter than the fire that burns in his.
