About Trilogy Directors

Matt Striebel, Staff Director
“I play lacrosse because I love it—the speed, the intensity, the teamwork, the sense of fulfillment and satisfaction that comes when success is achieved over and through adversity. At Trilogy Lacrosse, we approach the teaching and coaching of lacrosse with the same passion and commitment to excellence that we bring to our play. Nowhere else can you find a community of lacrosse players and coaches so dedicated to the singular values of the game.”
Matt is in the most elite class of lacrosse players in the world and is arguably the best midfielder in the game. He has a cannon of a shot on the run or with time and room. He is nearly impossible to guard one on one. A true playmaker, Matt's tremendous vision allows him to feed as effectively as he can score. Matt is the ultimate lacrosse instructor, besides his vast knowledge of lacrosse, his passion for the game is contagious and quickly picked up by his players. When not playing and teaching lacrosse, Matt plans to start on the next great novel. He earned an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Iowa and a BA in English from Princeton University.

Mitch Belisle, Event Director
“Lacrosse has given me so much – an opportunity to obtain an excellent education, lifelong friends and a chance to see the world. My passion is to grow the sport by teaching young players both on and off the field. Trilogy Lacrosse allows me to give back to the sport that I love in a professional organization that is committed to getting the most out of each and every player.”
Beginning as an offensive midfielder in high school, Mitch Belisle switched to long pole defense at Cornell University. By his senior year in 2007, he led Cornell to the Final Four as a captain, earned 1st team All America honors, and was named the Division I Defenseman of the Year. Once in the professional leagues he cut down his poles and went back to defending with short stick in both the MLL with the Boston Cannons and NLL with the Boston Blazers. His versatility and ability shut down the best attackmen and midfielders in the game make him one of the most effective defenders in the game today. Mitch’s vast understanding of all aspects of the game coupled with his determination and charisma enable him to thrive as a teacher on the field. He earned a BS in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University in 2007.

Ryan Boyle, Co Founder & COO
“Whether I am teaching someone new to the sport or the next All-American, I care about their personal development. I want them to walk away with a greater mental appreciation for the game and the physical awareness to execute new skills.
I also want them to understand that you must have passion and work hard in order to succeed, regardless of the task in front of them.”
Widely regarded as the smartest player in the history of lacrosse, Ryan is one of the most dominant players in the world. His uncanny understanding of the game and ability to elevate the play of his teammates allow him to be the consummate field general. He's led his teams to championships at every level of play from the youth, high school, collegiate, international, and professional ranks. Ryan knows what it takes to be a champion. He graduated from Princeton University with a BA in Psychology in 2004.
