Pizza Party
Our season ending pizza party is where we wrap up the season, enjoy some pizza and cake, and hold our fundraising raffle.
YOUR NAME HERE is the 2013 Pizza Party Chairperson.

RAFFLE/PIZZA PARTY GUIDELINES

As soon as Jamboree date has been confirmed, work with Volunteer Coordinator to establish date and location of Raffle/Pizza Party.  It is usually during the final week of school, after the Jamboree, intersquad games and the U15 BBQ game at ARHS.  When date has been determined, secure location.  In past it has been the Rt 135 Pavilion and also at the Neary School Pavilion.  Whichever location is selected, they require a reservation form or permission of Principal and completion of a School Use form.  Agreement is that we use cafeteria only in case of rain and restroom use is monitored.  Since we have not paid for custodial help, trash is disposed of in dumpster after party and area is left clear of debris.
 
The Purpose of the pizza party:  Announce winners of the raffle and celebrate the end of a great season with pizza and cake.
 
In early-May, establish date for pizza party, making sure it is after the Jamboree, before school ends and does not conflict with 8th grade banquet or other important evening activities or finals.
 
The best time has been at 6 – 7 p.m. on a weekday before school is out, held at the Rt 135 Pavilion or the Neary School Pavilion, rain or shine.  Need to arrange time with Northborough Recreation or Neary Principle in early-May.
 
PIZZA PARTY TIMING:
 

5:45 Monti's or Dominoes delivers pizza*
6:00 Eat pizza/continue to sell last minute raffle tickets
6:30 Have kids clean up any trash from field
6:40 Begin Raffle/eat cake** (sliced and on plates)
7:00 – 7:15 Party ends
 

*PIZZA – Order Quantities: If held in Northborough order from Monti's Pizza (508-393-6113) The Monti's Pizza are larger so the quantity to order is 12 Cheese and 12 Pepperoni.
If held in Southborough order from Dominoes: order 56 total (40 plain cheese, 10 pepperoni, 6 veggie) approx $515 with tip in the afternoon from Chris at Dominos (508-481-3939) (The deal has been every second pizza is half price). 
   
Get a check from Treasurer or President for pizza total including tip.  Have pizza delivered at 5:45, so it is ready for the kids.  Have them bring plates and napkins and have them leave the hot boxes (bring them back after)
 
**CAKE:  Two full sheetcakes from Stop & Shop or BJs (one yellow, one chocolate), 300 small plates. Get a lacrosse design to decoarate the cakes from the webmaster.
 
Set-up:
 

  • 2 banquet tables for pizza/drinks
  • Table cloths
  • Six, 5 gallon team jugs filled with lemonade, water, iced tea, etc.
  • About 400 cups
  • 2 barrels and Trash bags  (make sure NOTHING is left behind)

Attention All NSYLA Parents!
 
The annual Pizza Party is on rain or shine.
 
For those new to our program, this is the end of season event where the boys have pizza and cake (at no charge) to celebrate another great season of lacrosse. We also have a fundraiser raffle. Please support our program by purchasing raffle tickets from one of your team parents.

Tickets are $10 each or 3 tickets for $25. With a purchase of 3 raffle tickets ($25) buyer will receive a free NSYLA decal for their car.
 
Additional decals may be purchased at $2 each.

Raffle winners will be announced at the Pizza Party on , <Date>, from 6-7 PM at the Rt 135 Pavilion. You do not need to be present to win.

Additional raffle tickets may be purchased at the pizza party.

Some parents have offered to donate additional prizes for the raffle. These are most welcome and do not have to be lacrosse related, please contact Pizza Party Coordinator to make arrangements.
